Work on car park complete
The project to cut the hedge line back to the property boundary in the car park at the rear of Burnby Hall has now been completed. We would like to thank Pocklington Town Council’s grounds team for their sterling work.
Clearing decades of scrub, leaf litter and ivy has revealed the original service road that ran to the council depot previously situated on the site of the Francis Scaife Leisure Centre. The car park has been widened by a further 7 feet along the whole length of the car park.
Work to raise the crowns on the trees to the rear of the hall was completed before the birds started nesting and the passage running along the rear of the hall was cleared a few weeks ago, making a huge difference to light levels.
