Refurbishment work at Burnby Hall to start in the New Year….
The installation of new double-glazed sash and casement windows in the Community Hall will begin week commencing 16th February. The work will take up to three days. This will impact on hall bookings during the installation, but where possible we will try to reschedule or relocate bookings elsewhere in Burnby Hall. The Booking Team will contact hirers affected by the work early in January.
The project has been part funded by YOR4Good, with match funding provided by Pocklington Community Trust. The replacement windows will help reduce the heating bills for the hall, which are a significant operating expense for the charity.
Other refurbishment projects, including roof repairs and replacement of the glass lantern above the staircase in the old hall will start during the first quarter of 2026, details to follow.
