7th Pocklington Guides and NWW Division Rangers Annual Craft Fair
7th Pocklington Guides and NWW Division Rangers are holding their annual Craft Fair at the Community Centre on Sunday November 17th between 10.30am and 4pm. The fair has professional stall holders and has been a popular event for over 30 years.
Girls between the ages of 10 – 14 can join Guides and Rangers between the ages of 14 and 18. All Guiding groups in Pocklington meet at the Christian Fellowship Church and there are currently over 100 girls involved in Pocklington alone. Girlguiding’s aims are to help girls and young women develop skills and confidence, find their voice, and make a positive difference in their community, so it is not a surprise that the Guides and Rangers are well known around town for their litter picking amongst other things! As well as the guiding programme, our Rangers take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and so far this year, 3 have finished gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.
