Completion of window replacement in Community Hall
The Trustees would like to thank YORhub and East Riding of Yorkshire Council for providing
YOR4Good grant funding to enable the installation of new Accoya sash and casement
double glazed windows, in the Community Hall. Match funding has been provided by
Pocklington Community Trust and Pocklington Town Council.
The new windows represent a significant investment, that forms part of a larger programme
to refurbish and extend the operational life of the hall another fifty years.
Energy costs are the largest component of the buildings running costs. The lasting legacy of
the project will be to make the buildings more thermally efficient, resulting in improved
environmental and financial sustainability of this much used community building.
The Trustees would also like to thank Ryedale Joinery for their professional delivery of the project. The community hall was closed for three days during installation.
